I recently illustrated three children’s books which I self published with the author. The books are part of a series about a boy named Toby who has a time travelling car. In each book he visits a different historical event, joined by his two brothers and one of his pets.

I designed all of the characters as well as the logo. I opted for a mix of CG and hand drawn illustration in creating the artwork for the books. I built the time travelling car in a 3D software package (Maya) as well as many of the other vehicles and buildings to give the illustrations a solidity. I then painted over the top of these rendered assets adding hand drawn images such as the characters.
